Today's electric bikes have bottom bracket axles that no longer have conical surfaces. Instead, the crank is fastened solely by stops and screw connections. The position of the stops is generally too long to loosen or remove the crank using conventional tools, which is why the 'long working stroke' tool was developed.
With this tool set, you can remove the cranks from the corresponding axles. The long working stroke available (over 20 mm) makes the extractor universally applicable. Whether you have a pressed crank or a new-style crank with screwed-on crank seats, both systems can be removed quickly, safely and professionally.
You can rework existing crank threads with the M22x1 tap, or create a new, larger thread in the crank with the M24 bit and M24x1 tap.
To work precisely and safely in the process, the set includes the corresponding guides in M8-M10-M12-M15.
The following dimensions are crucial when using the Cyclus Tools extractor:
the existing bottom bracket connection thread (e.g. M15x1) and the crank internal thread (e.g. M22x1).
