Manufacture and materials
The manufacture of sledges and toboggans is based on our core competence, wood bending. Since 1930, we've been making our famous sleds in Sulgen from selected Swiss ash wood. We use the raw material wood as a renewable energy source. Our steam generator for the bending shop, as well as the heating of the operating building and the adjoining building, are powered exclusively by modern wood-fired heating. To this day, 3R ORIGINAL DAVOSER uses only ash from FSC-certified forests in Eastern Switzerland for its sleds, something we're very proud of.
Thanks to the high-quality choice of wood and finish, our sleds will stay with you for the rest of your life. Our sleds are made from the finest Swiss ash wood. The wide steel runners ensure smooth gliding and driving pleasure. The wood is lacquered with a special varnish that protects the surface from water and dirt.
Care
We recommend drying the sliding surface thoroughly after use. You can also keep the sliding steel for storage, or wax it before storing the sled. Have worn sliding surface ground or replaced, and repair paint damage from time to time.
