These traditional girth sleeves are made from the same high-quality Australian merino lambswool as numnahs and are highly effective against girth gaules, sweat build-up and rubbing in the girth area, especially with horses with sensitive skin. (80cm x 12cm). Can be cut to any size.
Remove hair, dirt and dried sweat with a stiff brush.
Machine wash at 30° on a cold/wool cycle or hand wash.
Use Lemieux wool wash (available from Horse Health).
Straighten/flatten cotton fabric after washing.
Air-dry near a heat source. Never tumble dry.
Avoid using strong cleaning products.
Warning: In rare cases, dye from black wool items can seep into wool items, giving them a slight blue tint. Grey coats may be stained.
