Why use a racing martingale?
Racing martingales are used to prevent a horse from raising its head above a point where it can be controlled. When the horse raises its head too high, the martingale exerts leverage on the bit through the reins, encouraging the horse to lower its head.

Care instructions
To optimize the life of your martingale and avoid stains, we strongly recommend that you care for the leather after each use.
- Use lukewarm water on a damp cloth or soft sponge to gently remove dust, dirt and grease from the surface. Be sure to concentrate on the areas around the curls and the main points of contact with your horse.
- We recommend conditioning leather sparingly with soap/cream, rubbing gently in a circular motion until all the product has been absorbed.
- Using a clean cloth, wipe off any excess soap/cream from the surface.
- Allow the leather to dry naturally in a well-ventilated area, away from any source of direct heat.
