Description

The Bevel bit provides slight leverage and a little more control, promoting responsiveness and correct head carriage. The double-jointed blue soft-iron mouthpiece with brass pad offers a higher level of comfort in the horse's mouth, as it helps avoid pinching the lips and bars of the mouth while reducing the nutcracker action of a single-jointed bit.
The blue soft iron oxidizes easily, creating a warm sensation and sweet taste in the horse's mouth, helping him to accept the bit. Please note that the blue color fades with use, which is normal.
Measurements
According to our size guide, the A and B measurements of this bit are as follows:
4.5' - A=15mm & B=55mm
5' & 5.5' - A=15mm & B=65mm
Blue soft iron horse bits...
Blue soft iron bits oxidize easily, creating a warm, sweet taste in the horse's mouth, encouraging salivation. Some horses prefer the warm feeling of soft iron to stainless steel, which is naturally cooler. Soft iron bits are therefore ideal for sensitive horses or horses that need to be encouraged to put the bit in their mouth and accept it.
Match your bevel bit with one of our anatomically designed bridles.
For health and hygiene reasons, this bit is not returnable if removed from the model.
