Description

The hanging cheek bit is a fixed cheek bit that promotes flexion, making it particularly useful for horses with a high head carriage. It can also be useful for horses who are unsure of the bit, as mouth movements are restricted.
The double-jointed mouthpiece with brass alloy pad distributes pressure evenly over the tongue and mouth bars while promoting salivation and helping the horse to calm down and concentrate. The soft blue iron oxidizes easily, creating a warm sensation and a sweet taste in the horse's mouth, helping him to accept the bit. Please note that the blue color fades with use, which is normal.
Measurements
According to our size guide, the A and B measurements of this bit are as follows:
A=13mm
B=100mm
Blue Sweet iron bit...
Blue Sweet iron bits oxidize easily, creating a warm, sweet taste in the horse's mouth, encouraging him to salivate. Some horses prefer the warm feeling of soft iron to stainless steel, which is naturally cooler. Soft iron bits are therefore ideal for sensitive horses or horses that need to be encouraged to put the bit in their mouth and accept it.
Match your hanging cheek bit with one of our anatomically designed bridles.
For health and hygiene reasons, this bit cannot be returned if removed from the model.
