The Waterford mouthpiece is composed of a series of ball-shaped links, making it completely mobile in all directions. It is particularly appreciated for combating problems such as inclination, bit grip and jaw lock. When the horse tries to grasp the bit, the mouthpiece collapses, leaving the horse with no rigid grip.
The mouthpiece distributes pressure over the tongue and mouth bars. Combined with simple, loose rings, this bit is ideal for stronger horses with a tendency to lean or hang on to the bit. To be effective, this bit should be worn 1/4' - 1/2' wider than the standard bit.

Care instructions
To promote good hygiene and protect the longevity of your horse bit, we recommend the following care regime after each use.
- Rinse your bit after each use under a tap to remove any saliva or debris from the surface.
- Use a sponge or soft cloth to wipe any excess debris from the jaw, paying particular attention to the joints and hinges.
- Leave to dry naturally.
