Your shoes have been designed with a membrane to ensure optimum waterproofing. A membrane is a very thin component (between 5 and 25 micrometers) applied to the inside of a fabric, which prevents water from entering while allowing moisture to escape. Your feet will stay warm and dry in your shoes. Thermal comfort is a balance between the warmth provided by the shoe and its ability to let the foot breathe. Too much warmth or not enough breathability, moisture builds up and the cold can set in. We've designed your shoes with your regular and sometimes intense activity in mind, with a membrane whose role is to prevent water from entering on one side and allow moisture to evacuate on the other.|We've made sure your shoes are waterproof with laboratory tests simulating walking with feet half-submerged in water, complemented by use and aging tests in the field. Shoe grip depends on the number and shape of studs. Grip, in turn, depends on the materials and treads used on your soles, much like the tires on your car. Grip optimizes propulsion, prevents the shoe from skidding backwards when climbing and stabilizes the shoe.

SNOWCONTACT soles are based on a specific component and crampon design (5 mm) adapted to ensure the best possible grip and hold. SNOWCONTACT soles are also more effective than traditional soles on snow.
