For users who prefer a wide seat, Repente has designed a new, compact and ultra-light saddle. Latus CL measures 240 mm x 152 mm and weighs just 145 grams. The structure is made entirely of autoclave-machined unidirectional carbon, a process that maximizes the material's mechanical properties. The frame features differentiated sections. Latus CL features a flattened rear bearing surface for optimum support when the distance between the ischial tuberosities is very pronounced. The saddle is crossed axially by a channel whose shape follows the bone profile as the pelvis tilts. The anatomical canal reaches its maximum depth where it is necessary to guarantee optimal relief for the perineal area. The curvature between the wide part of the saddle and the more tapered front part has been studied to guarantee maximum freedom of movement for the leg and to avoid any problems of friction on the inside of the thigh. Viewed from the side, the saddle's upper profile features a slight central depression, designed to help maintain the most comfortable position and counteract the tendency to slide forward. The generous padding in high-performance Eva is present right up to the foremost part of the saddle, so that even when pedaling in an aerodynamic position, the rider is spared tedious sensations and numbness.
