A key component of Ritchey's new Switch system, Ritchey's all-new headset stem is designed to work specifically with Ritchey's Switch stem to route cables, wires and hydraulic lines from the handlebar to the bike frame. Cables are routed from the handlebar to the headset conduit, which is located under the Switch stem, then pass through an opening in the front of the Switch headset spacers before passing through two channels on the top of the headset and entering the frame. This system allows the headset bearings to operate without interference from cables, wires or lines passing through the head tube.
Important: the cable guide is included with the Switch stems.

The Ritchey Switch System is an innovative integrated system designed to easily conceal cables, wires and hydraulic lines inside the handlebar in bicycle frames with 44 mm straight head tubes and 1-1/8' - 1.5' tapered forks. The Switch system consists of three components:
