Description

Nearly fifty years ago, Tom Ritchey, his mentor Jobst Brandt and a group of like-minded friends spent countless adventurous hours riding the remote trails, broken asphalt and rough gravel roads that wind through the MTBs in and around Northern California's Butano State Park. Tom still rides these trails and roads today, and this topography and the pioneering rides that took place there are the inspiration for the Butano handlebars.

This unique handlebar has proved highly sought-after by legions of gravel and road enthusiasts since its introduction a few years ago. Its wide drop flare offers adventurous riders a greater level of control and confidence than more traditional drop handlebars, while its low drop and short reach offer welcome comfort for endless days on rough terrain.

Updated for 2021, the new Butano capitalizes on its original comfort by adding new features such as internal cable routing capability and a welcoming ergo-aero top section for better hand support. The new Butano's drop flare has also been widened, measuring 18° for greater comfort and control.

The new Butano handlebars were born out of Tom's legendary adventures in the remote mountains of California, and offer the features you need for your own endless explorations and relentless travels.
