XT CARBON XT Carbon is used throughout the Shimano range of rods. The number following the XT (X Tl 00) indicates the quality of the carbon fiber used. The higher the number, the stronger the carbon. When different types of carbon are combined to create the required action, both numbers will be indicated (XT60/40). - REEL SEAT SHIMANO In addition to using Fuji's top-of-the-range reel seats, Shimano has designed a number of models in-house.
