XT CARBON XT carbon is used throughout the Shimano range of rods. The number following the XT (X Tl 00) indicates the quality of carbon fibre used. The higher the number, the stronger the carbon. When different types of carbon are combined to create the required action, both numbers will be displayed (XT60/40). - REEL HOLDERS SHIMANO In addition to using top-of-the-range Fuji reel holders, Shimano has designed a number of models in-house.
