The new DEORE XT comes with either a two-piston brake for cross-country use, or a four-piston brake for trail/enduro use. The new design of the brake lever, which is mounted at an angle to provide two points of support on the handlebar, considerably increasing rigidity, offers more direct feedback and braking performance further enhanced by SERVO WAVE technology. As a result, braking systems feature quicker response, higher performance and shorter no-load strokes. The original MTB groupset continues its heritage as the standard for mountain bikers worldwide.
