It features a heat-shrink plastic sheath at the lower end to prevent fraying and extend the rope's lifespan. This protection is also designed to prevent injury. At the other end, a galvanized steel ring allows the rope to be safely suspended. Available in various lengths, we also offer the possibility of ordering ropes tailored to your specific requirements. What length of rope do I need? It's important to note when ordering that, in accordance with DIN 18032-1 and DIN 18032-6, the start of the rope must be 40 cm above the ground. Therefore, please order a rope 40 cm shorter than the required height. The appropriate rope length is that of the rope including the suspension device, measured from the pressure point of the suspension ring (upper end) to the bottom of the heat-shrink sleeve. As the ropes are slightly taut at the time of measurement, their final length may take a little time to stabilize. To determine the rope length required for your climbing installation, start by measuring the distance from the suspension ring to the ground. Important tips for using climbing ropes: Climbing ropes must not be knotted, to avoid the risk of injury on the way down. Maximum load capacity is approx. 200 kg. Note for structural engineers: According to DIN 7911-2:1998-12, the loads to be taken into account for the suspension of climbing ropes, rope ladders, swings, etc. are 2000 N vertical load and 900 N horizontal load per suspension point (without swing coefficient).
