Modeled on the form factor of Google Glass, CORKY X gives you a different kind of HUD. Equipped with a small mirror, this eyewear accessory lets you instantly look behind you by simply glancing out of the corner of your eye. CORKY X features a universal design that attaches securely, comfortably and in seconds to any pair of glasses. The product uses a highly reflective acrylic PC mirror, comparable to commercial mirrors but weighing considerably less. The mirror sits at the end of your visual periphery (so it doesn't block your view on the road) and is mounted in an adjustable housing that lets you tilt the mirror in any direction, eliminating blind spots and giving you a perfect view of what's behind you. While the idea behind the CORKY X seems simple on the surface, the product design process required a lot of thought and turned out to be more complex than you might think. The product's weight, form factor, aerodynamics and functionality all play a vital role in ensuring that it works perfectly without failure or accident. In this respect, CORKY X's design specifically targets three crucial objectives: A. an aerodynamic form factor that allows it to cut through the air without bending or deflecting when you're riding, B. a lightweight design (14 grams) that won't tilt your glasses, and C. error-free, minimum-tolerance assembly that won't vibrate or change angle when you're riding over rough terrain.
