Padel overgrip features
Every racket comes with an original grip which, among other things, prevents the hand from slipping when the ball hits the ground. But the original grip alone is often not enough. In this case, the overgrip is an adhesive tape placed around the grip already present on the handle. The tape has one adhesive side and another with a grippy texture to add style to your racket and your game, preserving the feel of your rallies.
Advantages of using the overgrip
The most important advantages of the overgrip are: protection (protecting the original grip and the handle itself to increase the resistance of your racket). Grip (keeping your hand firmly in place when hitting the ball). Moisture absorption (small holes on the outside of the grip absorb perspiration from the hands). Handle adaptation (to thicken the handle of your racket or if you've chosen a small size).
An easy way to choose the right padel grip size
The most common method of determining grip size is to hold a gap of about 0.5 cm between your middle finger and the base of your thumb when you hold the racket in your hand. To be sure of the size, place your index finger in this space. If it stays there, then your grip is very small. On the other hand, if it doesn't fit, you need to choose a larger grip.
