How do I adjust my poles?
The forearm holding the stick should be perpendicular to the arm along the body. To adjust: unscrew the middle strand, below the lower strand ring, mark the desired stick size (in centimetres), and screw tightly, but not excessively - do the same with the lower strand. NEVER EXCEED THE STOP LINE, otherwise the stick will break during use.
Directions for use
Before setting off: always check that your poles are properly tightened.
You can adjust your poles to be longer when going downhill, or when pushing hard in the mountains, for example.
When going uphill, lean on the strap. When going downhill, it's better to remove the strap so that the pole doesn't get in the way if you fall.
CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Maintaining your poles in good condition will keep them running at their best and extend their life.
After use, if any water has penetrated the pole, dismantle the strands and allow them to dry. Clean off any dust or mud with water or a soft brush.
Once dry, you can reassemble the strands. We recommend that you do not attempt to oil or grease.
NEVER FORGET SAFETY...
If you're going off-piste, you'll need a map, compass and/or GPS, as well as an avalanche transceiver, shovel and probe. These three items will enable you to be found if you're caught in an avalanche, or to search for a victim. And don't forget to brush up on your safety basics.
