Slippers
Part of the fin where the foot is positioned. It can be fully closed in the case of shoe fins, or opened and closed by an adjustable strap in the case of adjustable fins.
Canopy
The flat part of the fin contributes to its power. The longer and/or harder it is, the more powerful the fin. The shorter and/or softer, the less powerful.
Channel Thrust technology from Mares
The Mares design is inspired by marine mammals. Channel Thrust technology maximizes channeling and displaces more water than other fins of the same size. The result is greater thrust power for the same effort.
