How do I mount a basketball backboard on the wall?
The fixing system for a basketball backboard depends mainly on the material of your wall. If in doubt, contact a DIY professional.
If you want the official height, the hoop must be located at 3.05m.
We also advise you not to hang yourself from the hoop, as this will weaken the fastening system.
Why mount your basketball backboard on a wall bracket?
When you fix your backboard to the wall, the height is definitively fixed and the board is pressed against the wall.
A wall mount allows you to adjust several playing heights, ideal for the whole family.
Depending on the model, some mounts also offer an offset to avoid playing too close to the wall.
The Set B300 and SB700 basketball backboards are compatible with the Tarmak F500 wall mount (8496982), which offers 3 playing heights.
Which ball to play basketball with?
The size of the ball depends on the age or sex of the player.
Baby basketball: sizes 1 to 3.
Girls and boys under 10: size 5.
Girls over 10 or women and boys 10 to 12: size 6.
Boys over 12 and men: size 7.
If you want a very durable ball, opt for a rubber ball. If you want a ball with a good touch, a leather or synthetic ball is what you need.
