Clothes' resistance: a factor that snipe hunters must take into account when hunting.
It's obvious that you can't hunt the bittern in the Baie de Somme as you can in the Pyrenean foothills or in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. Hunters, their dogs and their way of understanding the territory differ from one biotope to another, but all followers of the woodland beauty have a common need: that of clothing that can withstand the vegetation and compartmentalized environments, where branches tangle together and it is often difficult to make one's way through.
Pants designed by and for woodcock hunters in difficult environments
Inspecting the ground, trying to find a mirror or a trace that would signal the presence of the mordorée and the beginning of a discovery - this is what drives every snipe, even if it means putting the clothes he's wearing to a severe test. With this in mind, and having mapped the areas most exposed to brambles and thorns, we decided to reinforce the front part of the leg with a double layer of our most resistant component. This means no more scratched thighs at the end of a hunt.

In the early morning, especially in winter, dew is everywhere. Woodcock often confine themselves to damp, even marshy, woodland bottoms. To find a dew emanation and have the pleasure of lifting the woodcock, don't be afraid to climb up the gaulis, with the drops falling from the trees soaking everything in the process. But don't worry! Our pants are waterproof and seam-sealed. Even heavy rain is no longer a problem.
Some important technical data on the waterproofness of this garment
With a waterproof rating of 5000 mm, these pants designed for woodcock hunters offer a high level of waterproofing. A fabric's resistance to water pressure is measured in mm water column (test based on ISO 811). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. Pants, pockets and seams pass a 2-hour waterproofing test with 60 liters of water. All in all, it protects the wearer from a downpour equivalent to 12cm of rain in 3 hours.

The woodcock, an eminently wild bird evolving in a particular and difficult context, defends itself well. Walking for hours on end, often over several dozen kilometers, to catch this mythical bird is intense. Sweats are to be expected! A breathable garment that doesn't accumulate heat is therefore a priority. These woodcock-hunting pants feature side zippered vents to regulate temperature during the effort.

Beating a patch of tightly-packed oaks, venturing into a dense forest, or making your way through a thick environment is exhausting. You often have to step over, kneel down, protect yourself from the branches... So it's vital to wear clothing that accompanies your every move, to make progress easier. The elasticity of the component on the back of the pants allows you to bend down, get under branches and move around without batting an eyelid.
Easy to put on, these pants also feature several pockets for carrying all your documents and hunting accessories.
Our hunter designers thought of integrating a Velcro fastening on the bottom of the pants. The aim? To be able to adjust them to the shoe. Similarly, a zipper on the lower legs has been designed to facilitate donning the pants. Last but not least, you'll find several watertight pockets for documents or accessories (permit, annual validation, woodcock collection booklet, etc.).

Woodcock hunting means being able to follow the auxiliaries searching with desire and method among the broom, birch and hawthorn... Impossible to stop. The clothes worn must be perfectly maintained. That's why these RENFORT 900 hunting pants feature an elasticated waistband (for optimum morphological adaptability) and a hook to attach the pants to your shoelaces (see video) to prevent them from falling off.
