CUTTING INFORMATION
Standard cut with room to wear tights underneath.
HEAT
To help protect your child from the cold during cross-country skiing outings, we've designed these pants with wadding.
Wadding is a synthetic component based on polyester fiber, which allows a large quantity of air to be stored.
Air is highly insulating, so the wadding filling offers good protection against the cold.
DEPERLANCE
The water repellency of a fabric corresponds to its capacity to let water slide over its surface without absorbing it.
Water repellency is obtained by a treatment applied to the outer face of the fabric.
This treatment needs to be renewed over the life of the garment (we recommend every 3 washes).
How to dress your child for cross-country skiing?
We recommend following the 3-layer technique.
Layer 1: second skin (technical undergarment) that allows moisture transfer to keep the skin dry.
Layer 2: insulating (T-shirt, fleece) that provides warmth and moisture transfer.
Layer 3: outer and protective (jacket) that protects against the elements: wind, snow and cold.
Feet, hands and head are the most exposed parts of the body, and therefore the most important to protect.
Why protect yourself from the wind?
Did you know that wind makes you feel colder?
For example, at an outside temperature of 0° with 20 km/h of wind, the perceived temperature will be -10°.
Windproof components reduce this cooling effect by preventing the circulation of air caused by wind or the relative speed of the sports activity.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
We've incorporated 70% recycled polyester into this product. What does this mean? That in addition to being technical, this product has been designed with its environmental impact in mind. In short: polyester yarn is made from petroleum. Using recycled polyester means recovering and transforming products destined to be thrown away, such as production offcuts or plastic bottles, instead of using new oil resources. And that's already a step, isn't it?
