TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Are these pants warm?

The inside of these pants is made of brushed fabric, which traps air and insulates against the cold. Thermal comfort down to -6°C tested and validated.

How do you measure thermal comfort?

The thermal resistance test evaluates heat loss between the body and the outside, indicating the insulating efficiency of the product. It is carried out on a thermal dummy, measuring body heat retention.

Why gaiters on these pants?

For extra protection against moisture and snow, these pants feature gaiters with tie hooks. By preventing snow from getting into your boots, they keep your feet dry and comfortable.

What level of water repellency?

These pants are treated with a water-repellent coating that allows water to glide over the surface without penetrating. This keeps your legs dry in light showers and wet conditions.

How to reactivate water repellency?

To maintain its effectiveness, we recommend regular renewal of the water-repellent treatment, ideally with each wash. You'll find suitable products (in spray or liquid form) in our stores or on our website.

How do these pants ventilate?

When it comes to dynamic hiking, we know how important it is to wear pants that let heat escape. With 2 side ventilation zips, these pants offer optimal temperature regulation during your hikes and ensure comfort throughout your adventure.

What makes it comfortable and practical?

We've added elastane to the fabric of these pants to make them more stretchy, so they'll move with you. We've also added an elasticated waistband with loops to keep them in place throughout your hike.
Zips at the bottom of the legs make them easy to put on.

COMPOSITIONS / ADVICE

STOCK TIPS

Store in a dry, dark place.
We recommend avoiding chemicals such as bleach, which can affect the thermal insulation of garments.

TESTS

We carry out 2 types of thermal test:
- a test of the trouser material.
- a test on a thermal dummy in a thermal chamber.
Here, we reproduce the temperature, wind (5km/h) and humidity conditions you'd encounter in the mountains when walking at 5km/h.
These tests validate our design choices, enabling us to tailor thermal insulation where you need it most.

Approved by

All our models are tested in the field by representative users, and we supplement this with laboratory tests. This two-pronged approach is an exhaustive and demanding way of developing and constantly improving the technical and design aspects of our products QUECHUA. Your regular feedback is also taken into account to constantly improve our offer.
