TECHNICAL INFORMATION

How will these pants keep my child warm?

We are carrying out a comparative study in a thermal laboratory under walking conditions with a light wind (5km/h).
The comfort temperature is the air temperature calculated so that 70% of users have a "slightly warm" thermal sensation.
For these pants, it is -2°C.
However, each individual has his or her own sensitivity to cold.

FLEECE COMPONENT: INSULATION THROUGH AIR

The purpose of the fleece component is to trap air thanks to the volume created by its texture; this air keeps the body warm thanks to its natural insulating power. It's the scratching of the mesh that traps the air.

Component water repellency

A fabric's water repellency is its ability to let water slide off its surface without absorbing it. This means the fabric doesn't become waterlogged, and remains light, breathable and warm. Water repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outer face of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed over the life of the garment (we recommend every wash). Products for this purpose are available in our stores.

How do you preserve the technical qualities of these pants?

Care products: machine waterproofing spray or liquid. To regenerate the fabric's water repellency and optimize your garment's performance throughout its life, we recommend using these products at least every time you wash.

How should I dress my child for snowboarding?

To dress properly in winter, whatever your activity, we recommend applying the 3-layer principle:
layer 1: technical undergarments allow moisture transfer to keep the skin dry.
layer 2: the second layer (fleece, sweater) provides warmth and moisture transfer.
layer 3: the jacket protects against external conditions: rain, snow, wind.
The whole garment must be breathable to wick away moisture.
