Playing sports while pregnant?
Whatever physical activities you choose, always consult your doctor/midwife before embarking on them.
Exercising during pregnancy obviously means listening to your body and knowing how to slow down when baby demands it. If you were active before you got pregnant, you'll naturally want to tone down your exercise routine.
If you want to exercise safely, remember to exercise at 60% of your heart rate.
What is pre-natal yoga?
Prenatal yoga sessions focus on breathing techniques and physical postures to help pregnant women before, during and after childbirth. Teachers provide pregnant yogis with a variety of supports to help them comfortably practice postures that build strength and flexibility, and better prepare them for childbirth.

The benefits are many! Increased muscular strength, endurance and flexibility in preparation for childbirth. Improved sleep. Relief from lower back pain. Reduced stress and anxiety, improved concentration - in short, practising yoga during pregnancy can only be a good idea!
