Sophie, our product manager, presents the RW golf pants:
"Rain is a real psychological constraint for golfers. We wanted a pair of pants that would really let you go out and play in the rain. Everyone on our team was involved in the design. We based the pants on their waterproof qualities, without losing sight of the needs and requirements of golf. When it came to making choices, I was able to draw on my experience as a golfer. The result is an outfit that's sober, athletic and chic."
Our design team tells the story of waterproof pants:
"To design these pants, we worked with the rain specialists at Decathlon, who brought us their expertise." Sophie, product manager.
The result is a waterproof, water-repellent pant that lets you play for 4 hours without getting wet, thanks to its 3-layer fabric and waterproof seams and zips.
What's more, its streamlined design also protects you from the rain: "The less assembly, the more waterproof the outfit." Ludivine, Methods Engineer."
Léa, our designer, presents a pair of pants designed for rain... and for your comfort:
"You don't want to put on a pair of ski pants to go and play golf! It's a sport where you need to move a lot. The choice of component provides a more fitted cut and remains comfortable even when worn over pants... This slim-fitting shape allows real freedom of movement." Choose your usual pant size.
And for even greater comfort, the lower leg has a Velcro fastening and a zip, so you can remove your pants without taking off your shoes."
Rain-tested pants:
"To test and improve the fit, our design team relied on feedback from our male and female golfers:
"We carried out in-use tests on a weekend in December when it was extremely cold and rainy, with a dozen or so experts. And during the photo shoots, the conditions were even worse. This enabled us to validate the rain pants in the most extreme conditions" Sophie and Ludivine."
How do you look after your Rain Weather gear?
To make the most of the water-repellent and waterproof qualities of your Rain Weather outfit, we recommend that you remove any traces of mud with water and machine-wash it when it really needs it. Rinse thoroughly and leave to air-dry.
Finally, to reactivate the fabric's water-repellency, you can tumble-dry your already-dry outfit on a short, synthetic program."
Technical waterproofing and breathability:
Waterproofing is measured by the Schmerber water column test. Our material passes the 5000mm mark
The component's breathability is measured by the evaporative resistance coefficient, also known as RET. This is less than 12 for our material, which corresponds to a highly breathable fabric suitable for moderate exertion.
