BOUNCE HEIGHT
The solid rubber pelota (ball) needs to be heated while playing to obtain the optimal bounce.
The height of the bounce depends on the color of the dot (or number) on the ball:
Blue Dot or Number 4 : Very high bounce
Green Dot or Number 3 : High bounce
Yellow Dot or Number 2 : Intermediate bounce
White Dot or Number 1 : Low bounce
The higher your level, the more you use a low bounce pelota.
BALL COLOR
You must choose the color of your pelota (ball) according to the color of the walls of your playing area, to optimize the visibility of the pelota.
Black Pelota >> Light walls
White (or orange) Pelota >> Dark walls
WARMING UP THE BALL
To warm up at the start of a game, warm up your pelota gradually...
In solid rubber pala, the pelota (ball) needs to be warmed up while playing to obtain the optimum bounce. This is all the more necessary in winter when it's cold outside or in the trinquet... If it's really cold, consider choosing a pelota that's a little brighter than the ones you usually play.
