3 in 1!
At first, children will use the balance board as an excellent means of developing their motor skills and imagination.
Then, as play is inseparable from all learning at this age, it will transport them to multiple adventures to be experienced, thereby encouraging their creativity.
It can also be dedicated to relaxation by adding a plaid, a cushion, one or a multitude of cuddly toys.
60 minutes of daily physical activity
Did you know that to grow up healthy, your child should be physically active for 180 minutes a day, according to WHO recommendations? At least 60 minutes of which should be moderate to vigorous after the age of 3!
Daily physical activity from an early age is beneficial for physical and intellectual development. Learning a healthy lifestyle will limit health problems later in life and contribute to a child's personal development.
How is my child's psychomotor development progressing?
Children's psychomotor development has genetic, motor and psychological foundations.
This motor domain has several major components: body schema, dynamic coordination, balance, oculo-manual coordination, fine motor skills and temporal and spatial structuring.
A product can have an influence on a child's psychomotor development if it acts in the motor domain.
What is the body schema?
The body schema is the child's representation of his or her own body, enabling him or her to master gestures, perceive his or her own body and, more generally, develop self-awareness.
The body schema is first constructed from sensations and actions ("body felt, body acted"), before it can be represented and spoken of ("body represented", drawing of the bonhomme).
The more the child acts, the more he or she refines the body schema, and the better he or she acts in return.
What is hand-eye coordination? Temporo-spatial structuring?
To discover the world, children need to touch and manipulate the objects around them. This is gradually achieved through the development of vision and hand coordination. As he matures and develops, this will help him to make increasingly precise movements.
Temporo-spatial structuring includes everything to do with the child's bearings in time (before/after, day/night...) and space (right/left, over/under...).
