A board with reduced environmental impact!
The wood we use is FSC (Forest Stewardship Council) certified. This certification guarantees that the forest is managed in a way that preserves biological diversity and benefits the lives of local people and workers, while ensuring its economic viability.
In addition, we use Henkel's high-performance water-based glue, which is much less polluting than epoxy resins.
Wood and pop quality
This board is made from 7-ply Canadian Hard Rock Maple, the best wood species for technical skateboards.
The wood used for this board is FSC-certified (from sustainably managed forests).
The board is cold-pressed to guarantee better resistance to stress.
We use a high-performance water-based glue that is much less polluting than Epoxy resins.
Board dimensions
Length: 31.9" (81cm)
Width: 8.25" (20.95cm)
Wheelbase: 14.2" (36cm)
Nose length: 176mm
Tail length: 168mm
Concave type: medium
Single deck press
Our maple planks are cold-pressed, one at a time. This means that each mold contains only one board per pressing pass. This ensures optimum pressure distribution and that each board of the same model has exactly the same shape, the same concave. An advantage for those who always want to ski the same shape.
Board weight?
Approx. 1.2 kg. Since the boards are sanded by hand and each ply of wood is not exactly the same density, the weight may differ slightly from one board to another. Of course, the board is only one component that will determine the weight of your skateboard. The size of the wheels and trucks will also have a major impact.
How are our products tested?
Our boards are laboratory-tested. These tests validate the standards for skateboard use, as well as wear tests. These lab tests are complemented by field tests, some measured, others based on the perceptions of our team, which then put the product to the test.
We also rely on our community of passionate and demanding Ambassadors who work at Decathlon around the world.
Which board size to choose?
The main criterion for choosing a skateboard is its width. The narrower the board, the more maneuverable it will be (ideal for beginners and smaller riders). The wider the board, the more stable and secure it will be when landing tricks, making it ideal for ramp skaters and taller skaters. Dimensions are measured in inches. 1 inch = 2.54 cm. Length and wheelbase also have a strong impact on the board's maneuverability and stability.
