TECHNICAL INFORMATION

What is "Tubeless Ready"?

A tubeless ready tire allows tubeless riding. The beads are specially designed to ensure both watertightness and a secure fit on the rim. Like tubeless ready rims, the sidewalls of a tubeless ready tire are not watertight, which is why it's essential to add preventive fluid when fitting. This fluid has a dual action: once the tire is sealed, it acts as an anti-puncture preventive.

For fewer punctures, we recommend tubeless mounting!

If you're going to mount this tire on a tubeless ready wheel, we strongly recommend tubeless mounting, as tubeless ready tires have been designed for use with preventive fluid. In this way, the tire is doubly protected: the "Hardskin" strip blocks punctures, while the preventive fluid plugs small holes.
And as a bonus... lighter mounting and greater comfort!

The equipment required for Tubeless Ready mounting.

- A tubeless valve
- A tubeless rim tape
- Preventive fluid
- A tubeless ready compatible rim
- A foot pump or compressor

How to properly inflate a tire?

Inflate your tire with care. The recommended pressure is indicated on the tire's sidewall and on the product data sheet.
Also check that your tire pressure is correct before each outing.

Pro tip

When inflating your tire, make sure you set the right pressure for the terrain you're riding on and, above all, for the weather.
If you're riding in wet weather, don't hesitate to lower the tire pressure to increase grip.
Conversely, if you're riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure.

How to measure tire wear?

To measure the wear of your tires and know when they need changing, you need to look at the condition of the tread. Signs of wear can be:
- the tread begins to fray,
- a series of micro-cracks,
- the tread tends to flatten,
- the carcass appears.
These are all cases where the tire is worn and needs changing.
