How to measure tire wear?
To measure the wear of your tires and know when they need changing, you need to look at the condition of the tread. Being in direct contact with the terrain on which you're riding, it's the tread that will determine the tire's efficiency.
A tire is worn and should be changed when the studs on the tread are filed down to the level of the side studs.
How do I dismount a tire?
To remove the tire, deflate the tube until no more air comes out.
You can then remove the tire from the rim using a tire lever.
How do I remount a tire?
Please check that the arrow on the tire's sidewall points in the direction of travel.
To remount a tire, place a bead wire (the rigid part that determines the shape of your tire) on the rim.
Once this is done, inflate your inner tube to around 30% before installing it in the rim (pre-inflation reduces the risk of pinching the tube).
Then install the second bead wire in the rim, starting opposite the valve.
How to properly inflate a tire?
Inflate your tire with care.
The recommended pressure is indicated on the tire's sidewall and on the tire's product sheet.
Also check that your tire pressure is correct before every trip.
Pro tip
When inflating your tire, be sure to set the right pressure for the terrain you're riding on and, above all, the weather. If you're driving in wet weather, don't hesitate to lower the tire pressure to increase grip. On the other hand, if you're riding in dry weather, you can increase the pressure. Also, before each ride, make sure your tire pressure is appropriate.
