What is "Tubeless Ready"?
A tubeless ready tire allows tubeless riding. The beads are specially designed to ensure both watertightness and a good fit on the rim. As with tubeless ready rims, the sidewalls of a tubeless ready tire are not perfectly watertight, which is why it's essential to add preventive fluid during fitting. The fluid also acts as an anti-puncture preventive.
This tire can also be used for tube mounting.
What are the advantages of tubeless mounting?
With tubeless mounting, you benefit from double puncture protection. In the event of a blunt object puncturing the tire's built-in protection (polyamide strip for this tire), the preventive fluid will plug the hole (unless the hole is really too big).
Tubeless mounting also enables you to ride at lower pressures without losing energy. This means greater comfort and better performance on rough roads.
What equipment do I need for a Tubeless Ready assembly?
- A tubeless valve
- A tubeless rim tape
- Preventive fluid
- A tubeless ready compatible rim
- A foot pump or compressor

What puncture protection does this tire offer?
The puncture protection on the CrossProtect Light mountain bike tire is made of a braided polyamide layer.
We tested this protection in the laboratory. It scores 3/5.
How do you measure a tire's resistance to punctures?
We measure the tire's puncture resistance in the laboratory. The perforating elements are calibrated to represent the thorns, broken glass, etc. that you are likely to encounter on the road. Depending on its resistance, each tire obtains a score from 1 to 5/5.
The most reinforced tires on the market obtain a score of 5/5.
How to properly inflate a tire?
Inflate your tire with care. The minimum pressure for this tire is 2 bar, the maximum 5 bar. These values are indicated on the tire sidewall. We recommend using a pump equipped with a pressure gauge.
We recommend checking the pressure once a month.
