TECHNICAL INFORMATION

When can I wear spikes?

Please note that the ankle must be sufficiently muscular to wear pointe shoes. Wearing and practicing pointe shoes must be recommended and authorized by your dance instructor.

What does the artisanal method of sole stitching offer?

An ancestral method of designing pointe shoes, we work with a Tunisian factory that specializes in the production of pointe shoes.
This handcrafted method consists of sewing the sole of the pointe shoes inside out before turning them inside out, which makes them more comfortable and supple.
Thanks to this method, the sole accompanies your feet when you walk on pointe shoes.
All the pointe shoes sold in our stores and on our website are handmade by specialists.

How do I test my tips?

1) Sitting down, put on the pointe shoes and wrap the ribbons around your ankle. You'll need to sew the elastic around your ankle and instep.
2) Stand upright, then step onto the spikes one foot at a time to assess the rigidity of the sole in relation to the strength of your ankle.

How do I choose my tips?

The rigidity of the soles should be adapted to the strength of your ankle.

The sole should be:
Neither too flexible: when you go on pointe, your feet should not go too far forward,
Nor too rigid: when you go on pointe, the sole does not follow your instep, you cannot bend your foot correctly and you cannot go on pointe.

How do I choose my shoe size?

When choosing your pointe shoes, the most important thing is that your toes are held in place, but not squeezed!
Your toes should be able to spread out in the pointe shoe, and above all not be squeezed. You should, however, feel supported.
If you wear silicone/foam/cotton tips that you insert into the tips for greater comfort, we recommend that you take a size larger than your usual size.

How can we make things more comfortable?

A removable gel insert has been added to the bottom of the tip for added comfort. This gel piece comes in a small pouch inside the tip, and separates into two tips to be placed at the end of the points.
