Covering surface suitable for a hiker with a stature of 157 to 173 cm in size S/M or 174 to 190 cm in size L/XL, and carrying a backpack of up to 60 L.
The hood can be tightened with an elasticated drawcord and a stopper.
The sleeve ends are tightened with an elasticated bias to prevent water from penetrating your sleeves.
This rain cape is easy to put on and take off thanks to its long front zip for easy head passage.
Recommended complementary products
To complete your outfit, we recommend waterproof overtrousers or gaiters for perfect protection of the lower legs. For added breathability, a waterproof hat can also be combined with a poncho!
Component impermeability
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm water column (test based on ISO 811).
The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric.
A component with a waterproof rating of 2000 mm will therefore withstand the pressure exerted by 2000 mm water (roughly equivalent to a 2-hour shower).
Garment waterproofing
This garment has been validated in a shower test under 60 liters of water / m² / hour for 2 hours. This test reproduces average mountain shower conditions.
Poncho breathability
Our poncho and rain cape ranges are not equipped with waterproof/breathable membranes.
We therefore recommend gentle, leisurely use rather than rapid hiking to limit perspiration!
Component water repellency
A fabric's water repellency is its ability to let water slide off its surface, without absorbing it. This means the fabric doesn't become waterlogged, and remains light, breathable and warm. Water repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outside of the fabric. This treatment needs to be renewed throughout the life of your garment (we recommend every 3 washes). All Quechua ponchos and capes are water-repellent.
Maintenance
We recommend the use of a water-repellent (spray or liquid)
to regenerate the fabric's water repellency and optimize the performance of your garment throughout its lifetime.
