What about the choice of materials?
We opted for 18/8 stainless steel for its durability, corrosion resistance and food safety. To compensate for its low conductivity, a double aluminum bottom was added for better heat diffusion. The result is greater heating efficiency and lower gas consumption.
What type of cladding was chosen?
Whitford's PTFE Xylan+ coating was chosen for its good non-stick quality/resistance/price ratio. PFOA-free, it is suitable for cooking food. Although resistant, it is best to avoid metal utensils to preserve this coating.
What about cutlery and plates?
Polypropylene cutlery is lightweight and resistant to heat (100°C), shock and deformation. Perfect for hiking, they combine durability and practicality, and are Bisphenol-A (BPA)-free. Be careful, however, not to expose them to direct flame to prevent melting.
What you also need to know
The saucepan is suitable for all burners (wood, gas, induction).
The frying pan has a retractable, lockable handle.
The saucepan has a patented folding handle that secures the lid during transport.
The lid doubles as a colander.
The plates limit heat transfer.
How to store the kitchen set?
To optimize space and reduce noise, place cutlery on the lid, then place mugs and plates in the pan. The trivet locks everything together, and the cover makes transport easy, even at sale. And there's no need to be patient - it's all done in seconds!
How do I clean the cooking pot?
Before 1st use, rinse each element 3 times. After use, wash in hot soapy water and dry before storing. All components are dishwasher-safe. Washing pots and pans by hand preserves the coating. Avoid abrasive sponges and sand.
