Which size to choose?

"Place the shin pad as low as possible on your leg, so that your malleoli are well covered (making sure there are no pressure points and that your ankle movements are not impeded). Ideally, the top of the shin pad should reach 2cm below your kneecap. Your shin pad should fit snugly around your calf, but not compress it.

Which size to choose (continued)

The grid below is a good reference:
- if you are between 130 and 140cm -> XS
- 140 and 160cm -> S
- 160 and 175cm -> M
- 175 and 185cm -> L

Safety Council

Field hockey is fun. Don't neglect your safety. Always wear your mouthguard, shin guards and a glove. Use field hockey shoes with protective reinforcements and soles adapted to the playing surface. Wear a mask and special gloves when playing hockey. In matches and training sessions alike.

How can I protect my legs?

"A shin guard is personal protective equipment. It must meet current standards including the European PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425.
Use a shin guard specifically designed for field field hockey. A field field hockey shin pad has 2 sport-specific features: on the one hand, it covers the malleoli and goes up to below the kneecap; on the other, it largely encompasses the sides of the leg.

How to protect your legs (continued)

For this reason, a soccer shin pad is not suitable for field field hockey.
A field field hockey shin pad consists of a molded plastic protective plate generally lined with a foam that absorbs the diffusion of impacts.
Renew your shin pads according to the manufacturer's instructions, and in any case as soon as they show signs of wear.
Refer to the product instructions regarding the manufacturer's liability.
