ASTROX series description
Power racquets with ASTROX (replacing the VOLTRIC range) to meet the demands of an aggressive, offensive game. They have a more or less head balance to accentuate your attacks with piqué smashes.
Weight
88 gr - 3U (85-89 g).
Weight is expressed in grams. Racquets range in weight from 60 grams to over 100 grams, and are classified into "U" weight ranges. The lighter the racket, the more maneuverable and comfortable it will be, the less traumatic it will be for the arm, and the more arm speed it will provide, but the less power it will have. On the contrary, the heavier the racket, the more powerful it will be, but the less comfortable it will be.
Flexibility
Rigid.
Flexibility is defined by the shaft's ability to deform when struck. A racket's rigidity ranges from flexible to rigid. The more flexible the shaft, the greater the forgiveness and length of the shuttlecock, but the less speed. On the contrary, the stiffer the shaft, the more repulsion it will offer, but the greater the arm speed required, and the less forgiving it will be of hitting errors.
Balance
On top.
Balance is the distribution of the racquet's weight. It is indicated in millimeters and measured from the bottom of the handle to the balance point. The more the racquet is in the handle, the more maneuverable and responsive it will be, perfect for a defensive or doubles player. On the contrary, the higher the head of the racquet, the more power it will offer, ideal for offensive players. On the other hand, it will feel heavier and more difficult to handle.
Composition
Frame: HM Graphite / NANOMESH NEO / VOLUME CUT RESIN / Tungsten
Shaft: HM Graphite / Namd
The composition of a badminton racket influences its price. Steel and/or aluminum rackets are solid, heavy and suitable for leisure use. Graphite/aluminuim and full graphite rackets are lighter and appreciated by advanced beginners. Finally, rackets made of High-Modulus Graphite and other technologies such as tungsten are designed for demanding players.
Length
675 mm.
The length of an adult snowshoe is measured in millimeters and varies between 660 mm and 680 mm. In reality, it's the shaft of the snowshoe that's longer or shorter. The shorter the shaft, the easier it is to handle and the better the feel. The longer it is, the more inertia it offers to accentuate power.
Grip size
G4 = medium (85-89 mm)
Grip size is expressed in millimeters. Racquet handle sizes range from 75 millimeters to over 90 millimeters and are classified in size ranges expressed in "G". The thicker the handle, the easier it is to grip, but the more difficult it is to change grip. The thinner the handle, the more dexterity it offers, and the greater the power of the fingers that can be used to impart speed to the racket.
Original rope
Racquets are originally strung with a 0.70 gauge Yonex string mm not commercially available. Only the very top-of-the-range rackets made in Japan are originally strung with BG 65 string with a gauge of 0.70 mm.
Original and recommended voltage
Original tension 8-10 kg.
Brand-recommended tension 8-13 kg.
Original strung snowshoes are tensioned between 8 and 10 kg, depending on the loss of tension due to transport. Each brand then specifies a recommended tension, usually between 8 and 12 kg. This is to avoid any breakage of the frame when stringing or in the event of a shock or string breakage. Finally, some snowshoes with reinforced frames can withstand tensions of up to 16 kg.
Stringing plan: upright * across Stringing instructions for 68 eyelets: B = down, H = up
22*21.
Stringing instructions: 4 knots
Upright: start at the top center and string up to B9. Pass through B12 to H12, then back to H10 to go down to B10 and finish by tying a knot on eyelet B8. (same on opposite side)
Travers: Tie a knot on eyelet B6 and start traversing from B9. Continue across to H6 and finish by tying the knot on eyelet H5.
NANOMESH NEO
First-generation graphite for a stronger, more flexible frame. This material allows increased flexion of the shaft, creating maximum power and a rapid return after each stroke.
POWER ASSIST BUMPER
The addition of Tungsten in key areas of the racket head enables direct energy transfer to maximize the power of your shots.
ROTATIONAL GENERATOR SYSTEM
Applying the counterweight theory, weight is distributed by transferring it from the end of the handle to the racket head for maximum control. The transition to the next stroke can be made smoothly, with a succession of rapid movements
AERO + BOX FRAME
Frame combining aerodynamic front profile and extra-rigid rear profile for a combination of faster swing speed and solid, stable feel at impact with the steering wheel.
VOLUME CUT RESIN
Epoxy resin that offers strength with less material and weight. When used with the ROTATIONAL GENERATOR SYSTEM, weight distribution is taken to a new level.
NAMD TECHNOLOGY
New-dimension graphite material attached directly to the graphite fiber so that the shaft can store energy during flexing and redistribute it on impact, releasing spectacular power.
REXIS SHAFT
A high-performance shaft precisely engineered with an original molding technique from Yonex. Improves stroke performance.
TUNGSTENE
Material designed to balance the head of the racket for increased power
EXTRA SLIM SHAFT
An even thinner shaft with NAMD material to improve swing speed, generating a super-powerful, fast shot.
ENERGY BOOST CAP PLUS
The new top cap maximizes stem performance. The front allows the shaft to flex and exert the maximum effect of the Namd. The arch-shaped curve stabilizes the snowshoe frame, preventing the shaft from twisting.
BUILT-IN T-JOINT
Integrated T-joint increases strength between frame and shaft and greatly reduces torsion for greater control
