Description of the new X-FEEL series
New POWER pillar from Babolat with the new X-FEEL rackets. 4 models specially designed for your level of play and power.
XFEEL RISE unstrung weight: 85g - 3U (85-89 g)
Weight is expressed in grams. Racquets range in weight from 60 to over 100 grams. They are classified into "U" weight ranges. The lighter the racket, the easier it is to handle, the more comfortable it is, the less traumatic it is for the arm and the more arm speed it provides. On the contrary, the heavier the racket, the more powerful it is.
Flexibility X-FEEL RISE: flexible
Flexibility is defined by the shaft's ability to deform when struck. The rigidity of a racket ranges from flexible to rigid. The more flexible the shaft, the more forgiveness, playing comfort and length of shuttlecock it offers. On the other hand, the stiffer the shaft, the greater the repulsion and precision, but the greater the arm speed required. On the other hand, a rigid racket is less forgiving of hitting errors.
X-FEEL RISE balance: neutral
Balance is the distribution of the racquet's weight. It is indicated in millimeters and measured from the bottom of the handle to the balance point. The more the racquet is in the handle, the more maneuverable and responsive it is, perfect for a defensive or doubles player. On the contrary, the higher the head of the racquet, the more power it offers, ideal for offensive players. On the other hand, it will feel heavier and more difficult to handle.
Composition X-FEEL RISE: HM graphite
The composition of a badminton racket influences its price. Steel and/or aluminum rackets are solid, heavy and suitable for leisure use. Graphite/aluminum and full graphite rackets are lighter and more popular with advanced beginners. Finally, rackets made of High-Modulus Graphite and other technologies such as Tungsten are designed for expert players.
X-FEEL RISE length: 675 mm
The length of an adult snowshoe is measured in millimetres and varies between 660 mm and 680 mm. Only the length of the shaft varies. The shorter the shaft, the easier it is to handle and the better the feel. The longer it is, the more inertia it offers to accentuate power.
X-FEEL RISE grip size: Size 2 --> G4
Grip size is expressed in millimeters. Racquet handle sizes range from 75 to over 90 millimeters, and are classified in size ranges expressed in "G". The thicker the handle, the easier it is to grip, but the more difficult it is to change grip. The thinner the handle, the more dexterity it offers and the greater the power of the fingers to give the racket speed.
Original rope
The racket is originally strung with Babolat Ifeel 70 black string with a gauge of 0.70 mm.
X-FEEL RISE original tension: 8-9 kg/18-20 lbs
Tension is expressed in kilograms (kg) or pounds (lbs). Snowshoes are strung at around 9 kg (20 lbs), but can vary downwards as strings lose tension over time.
Maximum recommended X-FEEL RISE tension: 12 kg/27 lbs
Babolat mentions a maximum recommended tension on all its rackets to avoid frame breakage when stringing, shocking or string breakage.
X-FEEL RISE string pattern: 20*21
The string pattern is expressed as the number of vertical strings X the number of horizontal strings. In badminton, we speak of uprights X crossbars on a racket. This configuration increases grip and provides better spin.
Stringing instructions for 78 eyelets: B = bottom, H = top
4-knot stringing instruction.
Upright: start at the top center and string alternating every 2 uprights to the left then to the right up to H11 (skip eyelets B10 and H10) and finish by tying the knot at H7. Crosspieces: start the bottom crosspieces at B10 and tie a knot at B8. Continue down to H8 (skip B11 and H11 eyelets), knotting at H6.
SHOT OPTIMIZER
The head size has been increased to 360cm2 (55.8 inch) thanks to a new frame shape. The enlarged headsize gives the racket greater forgiveness, thanks to a larger sweet spot to enhance playing comfort.
