TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Why a rigid skate for beginners and advanced skaters?

The high cuff (the upper plastic part also known as the "spoiler") has been developed with one objective in mind: to provide optimum support for the foot.
And for (even more) support, the roller features 1 micrometric buckle, 1 strap and laces.
This support really makes a difference when learning and progressing in rollerblading. The foot is supported and the ankle is mobile enough to tackle asphalt and city obstacles (curbs, kerbs...). This support promotes good posture

The double-edged system on the MF140 roller

The MF140 roller is unique in that it has a double size. The liner has been designed to fit two sizes.
The triple tightening system allows you to adapt the roller to each foot, guaranteeing comfort and support.
Take your usual size.

What's the difference between the FIT100 beginner model and the MF500 freeride model? (1/2)

This new skate in the Decathlon roller range has been designed for beginners and advanced skaters alike, with a fitting adapted to promote good posture and rapid progress.
The FIT100 skate has a softer boot for comfort on long straight-line rides. The MF140 offers more support for exploring the city and its sidewalks, frequent changes of direction and different types of ground.

What's the difference between the FIT100 beginner model and the MF500 freeride model? (2/2)

The MF500 model is the evolution of the MF500, offering a similar boot structure with a more reactive aluminum plate when the skating level is finer and more advanced (introducing jumps, faster direction changes and more technical braking).

Are these all-rounders or just for freeride?

Versatile skates par excellence, they combine optimal glide quality for beginners (76mm/80A wheels and ABEC 5 bearings to master your glide), and extreme maneuverability (short, resistant deck).

Which braking system for these freeride rollerblades?

The complete brake, brake pad + brake support, can be adapted to the right or left foot (supplied unassembled).
The brake pad is available in your roller department (depending on store) or on the Internet.

How can I extend the life of my rollerblades?

To prolong the life of your rollerblades, after riding in water, dust or sand, disassemble the wheels, dry them and degrease the bearings with a dry cloth.

How to extend wheel life?

It's common practice to swap the wheels on your rollerblades, as the wear is not uniform - it's angled. The reason? We often skate with our rollerblades tilted inwards, to push, turn or even start.
To finish wearing out the rubber on your rollerblades, swap your rollerblade wheels (and invert them in pairs).

What is the maximum weight supported by these MF140 rollers?

These adult roller skates comply with EN 13843 class A (adult roller skate standard). This standard applies to Roller Sports Equipment - In-line skates designed to support between 20 and 100 kg (body weight). This European standard defines safety requirements and specifications relating to test methods, marking and information supplied by the manufacturer to reduce the risk of injury to the user.
