Safety tips
We recommend the full set: helmet, elbow pads, knee pads and wrist guards. Because when it comes down to it, which part of your body you fall on... it's all a bit random.
How to adjust the size of children's rollerballs?
See the little tab on the front of the bootie? Simply snap it onto the desired number. 1 for the smallest size, 2 for the intermediate size and 3 for the largest. The space at the front of the foot is then freed up and you gain 2 sizes. Clever, isn't it?
Optional stability kit (ref 8282768)
The stability kit can be fitted to all PLAY3 and PLAY5 rollerblade sizes. This stability kit allows you to start with a tricycle configuration: a good way to increase stability on your first outings, and for your child to quickly gain confidence.
A little learning tip from Laila, product manager for Play5 rollerballs.
When you're a parent and your little one takes the plunge for the first time, you tend to hold both arms. A reflex, but a bad idea. So how can you help your child? Take him to a handrail and tell him to simply try walking by taking small steps, while holding on to the handrail with one hand. Progress is guaranteed!
Rubber brakes and wheels... or plastic?
Unlike plastic, which shrivels but doesn't brake, rubber offers good grip: it enables your child to skate without slipping when pushing, and to brake effectively. What's more, rubber wears less quickly than plastic. Our Oxelo teams are committed to safety - whatever your child's technical level. We have therefore chosen to equip all our children's rollerblades with rubber wheels and brakes, rather than PVC.
Would you like to repair or maintain your rollers?
You'll find wheels of various sizes (even luminous ones), brakes and compatible screws on our website and in your workshop Decathlon. All very easy to fit. Take a look at our tips and tutorials on our YouTube page Oxelo : https://www.youtube.com/user/oxelo/videos
How to extend wheel life
Depending on where they are placed on the skate, some wheels will wear more quickly than others. Don't hesitate to change their positions regularly. It's really time to change them when wear reaches the first of the 7 circles visible on the inside of the wheel.
How are our products tested?
All our rollers are laboratory-tested. These tests allow us to validate European standards for roller use, as well as wear tests. These lab tests are supplemented by field tests, some measured, others based on the testers' perceptions, who then put the product through its paces. The result: a tried, tested and approved product.
Warranty
2 years except wearing parts (wheels/bearings and brake).
