Capacity
The bag has a volume of 55 L with an extension to hold a further 10 L. The volume of each backpack is measured using a standardized method. We use small balls to fill the main compartment and each pocket. The balls are then emptied into a graduated container, which determines the equivalent volume in liters, with a tolerance of a few %.
Weight
1.73 kg All-inclusive.
Weight of removable rain cover 100g
AIR Concept
Like the MT900 UL line, the MT500 AIR series adopts a ventilated back structure with mesh fabric, allowing the back to breathe better and dry quickly. Rigidity is guaranteed by a reinforced frame. Back height adjustment is provided by an easy-to-handle release strap.
Materials
210D RS polyamide main fabric (Ripstop = increased tear resistance), reinforced bag bottom (420Dx330D RS)
Recommended carrying weight
In line with the program for which this backpack was designed, we recommend a maximum load weight of 15 kg. This will enable you to benefit from all its qualities. In addition, to avoid putting too much strain on your back, it's best not to exceed a load weight equivalent to 20-25% of your own body weight.
How do I load my bag?
Place sleeping gear at the back. Near the back, place heavy equipment (tent, stove, food). Clothes should be stored around them. Floor mats or tents can be placed under the flap or under the bag if they don't fit inside. Keep a waterproof jacket and fleece close at hand. In the pockets, divide up the day's equipment (sun cream, map, glasses, etc.). The water bag is placed in the compartment along the back.
How to use multi-purpose straps
The new MT500 AIR and MT900 UL backpack series feature two straps with open aluminum buckles (on the lower part of the bag). These straps can be used to attach a tent or mattress to the underside of the bag or to the barrel. When not in use, these straps can be stored (by pushing them in) in the hidden pocket provided for this purpose. They can also be detached and used elsewhere, thanks to their lark's head buckle system.
Female morphology
Our women's models have been adapted to the female morphology (chest and hips). The straps are more open and the waistband is curved upwards for greater comfort and freedom of movement.
