TECHNICAL INFORMATION

PRACTICAL INFO: How can I prevent snow from getting into my overalls?

Our pants feature elasticated gaiters at the bottom of the legs which cover the boots. In the event of a fall or contact with fresh snow, the hermeticity of the gaiter prevents snow from entering.

How to keep kids warm on the slopes?

To stay warm and dry, simply apply the 3-layer rule: Layer 1 or second skin, to stay dry. Layer 2, or insulating layer, to retain heat. Layer 3, or protective layer, to keep out the elements.

How is fabric waterproofness measured?

We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm water column (test based on ISO 811). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. For example, the fabric of the 500 overall has a waterproof rating of 10000mm, so it can withstand the pressure of 10000mm of water.
For skiing, we recommend fabrics ranging from 3000mm to 10000mm.

How do I wash my child's overalls?

To optimize the performance and durability of your overalls, we recommend:
Machine wash at 30°, synthetic program.
Turn the product inside out.
Use very little detergent. Do not use fabric softener.
Spin between 800 and 1200 rpm.
Tumble-dry or tumble-dry.
Do not dry-clean. Do not place on a radiator.

TESTS

All Decathlon products are imagined, designed and conceived in the Mont-Blanc valley. They are then tested under conditions identical to those you may encounter yourself in use (in the snow, in the cold, in powder snow...). The design teams ensure that the program for which the product was conceived and developed corresponds perfectly to its use in the field.
