How are the shorts cut?
Fitted cut. Inner volume means you can wear these shorts with a suit reinforced with protection.
What is a membrane and what is it used for?
The membrane is a very thin component applied to the inside of the shorts' outer fabric. Hydrophilic, it blocks water coming from the outside and also wicks away perspiration produced by the body from the inside. To stay warm and dry, the membrane is a must.
How is the waterproofness of shorts measured?
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm water column (test based on ISO 811). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. For example, a component with a water resistance of 2000mm will withstand the pressure exerted by 2000mm of water (roughly equivalent to a two-hour shower).
What parts of the shorts protect children from the elements?
These shorts have been developed with a rigorous component and assembly that limits the passage of water and the sensation of wind.
What is the purpose of water-repellent shorts?
A fabric's water repellency is its ability to let water slide off its surface, without absorbing it. These shorts are equipped with water-repellent components that prolong their resistance to the elements. Water repellency is achieved by a treatment applied to the outer face of the fabric, but in use these properties can be altered.
How to reactivate water repellency?
Note that the water-repellency can be reactivated. To do this, tumble dry the shorts on the synthetic program for 10 to 15 minutes.
You can also use a waterproof spray (available in our stores).
