Which skier are you?
If you think of a snow-covered valley as a wave to be surfed. If for you, skiing rhymes with creativity, the Slash is your ski. Designed for experienced freeriders who don't necessarily have a lot of technical experience and are looking for a ski that floats, drifts and jumps, the Slash is made for you: it's maneuverable, easy and playful. We've designed the Slash for experienced freeriders looking for a playful ski to enjoy long days on the slopes.
Description:
With a 17m radius, short enough for a freeride ski, the Slash is the ideal companion to play with every little relief that the mountain met beneath your spatulas. Its shape is that of a playful ski, and its pronounced, long and progressive rockers guarantee lift and maneuverability in powder.
In 165cm 133/100/124 mm, 13m radius (pink only)
In 174cm 133/100/124 mm, 15m radius
In 183cm 133/100/124 mm, 17m radius (green only)
Construction:
Light Woodcore Tec is a construction with a light wood core (Palowmnia) reinforced with glass fibers for stiffness and basalt fibers for shock absorption. The advantage of this construction? It's particularly useful for exploiting every little relief to play, jump and slash. It makes for a relatively playful ski, whatever the terrain or snow.
Tip and tail rubber:
The ski's construction incorporates a rubber insert in the tip and tail. The purpose of this insert is to dampen deformations and reduce rocker-related vibrations.
Solidity:
Black sole for easy repairs.
Topsheet reinforced to resist scratches and semi-cap to prevent chipping.
Preparation:
Skis waxed and sharpened, ready to use. Edges sharpened to 89°.
What is the dimension line of a ski?
The sidecut is characterized by 3 dimensions: width at the tip (front of the ski), width at the runner (middle of the ski) and width at the tail (back of the ski). The wider the tip, the more easily the ski enters the turn. The narrower the runner, the grippier the ski on hard snow. The wider the runner, the more comfortable and stable the ski is in snow changes. The wider the tail, the more the ski stays anchored in the curve. The thinner the heel, the easier it skids.
What is a camber?
On a rocker ski, the tip - and sometimes the tail - lifts off the ground much earlier than on a cambered ski. This shifts the contact points towards the center of the ski. This shortens the ski's surface area in contact with the snow, giving you more maneuverability and lift in soft snow. The angle of the rocker gives you more edge length for greater grip on hard snow. The longer the rocker, the more maneuverable your ski.

Selection assistance:
If you want to start freeriding, the Rookie will be the ski for you.
If you already do a lot of off-piste skiing, the choice will be between a Patrol and a Slash.
The Patrol is for those who like serious, catchy and versatile skis, while the Slash will be more for those who prefer super-playful skis.
For powder hunters, they'll be happy with a Pow Chaser on their feet.
