What does glove dexterity mean?
A glove's dexterity is its ability to handle objects with ease. Our under-gloves were graded in the laboratory on a scale of 1 to 5. The closer the rating is to 5, the closer the glove's dexterity is to bare-handed handling.
In particular, we tested how easy it was to put on and open a jacket with these under-gloves.
Heat input
This under-glove, worn under a hiking glove, will provide up to 3°C of extra warmth.
This corresponds to the ambient temperature for which 100% of testers found this sensation acceptable.
We recommend wearing this under-glove with gloves over it for better protection.
How is the operating temperature measured?
All our gloves are laboratory-tested using a thermal hand to determine their heat level and minimum usage temperatures. Minimum temperatures of use (recommended and limits) are based on a study carried out on a panel of 23 testers in a walking situation exposed to temperatures ranging from 5°C to -20°C and a 10 km/h wind. These temperatures apply only to walking conditions.
How do you protect your hands from the cold?
By applying the principle of layering, you can optimize the insulation of your hands. By wearing under-gloves in addition to gloves, several air spaces are created around your hands, effectively insulating them from the cold. To achieve this, it's important to choose gloves that are large enough to prevent your fingers from being compressed. Compression slows down blood circulation in the fingers, which prevents them from keeping warm.
How can you keep your hands warm with the right clothing?
Your active body generates heat, which is conserved by the thermal insulation provided by your clothing. If your clothing is unsuitable, your body cools down and blood circulation to your extremities (including your hands) is reduced, keeping your chest warm. Your clothing can therefore play a role in keeping your hands as warm as possible.
Origin of wool
We use wool from Merino sheep raised on farms in South Africa that do not practice mulesing.
We have built a partnership with a group of breeders (Konsortium Merino) to guarantee respect for animal welfare and the environment.
We thus have complete traceability, enabling us to guarantee the wool's origin.

How do I care for my merino wool under-gloves?
We recommend that you machine-wash your merino wool under-gloves at 30°, normal cycle, preferably with a liquid detergent.
Dry them flat in a dry place, but avoid placing them on a heat source. This can damage the fiber and deform the fabric. Never tumble dry.
