TECHNICAL INFORMATION

Design

Down jacket (90% down and 10% feather) for comfort and lightness.
We've added warmth zones where you need it most.
Stretch zones on the back, sides and under the arms to give you freedom of movement.
Stretch is highly breathable, so it also wicks away perspiration.
A hood that goes under the helmet and a high collar protect you in case of heavy weather.

Directions for use

Dressing too warmly after heavy physical exertion can make you feel cold. Perspiration can't evacuate properly, so it remains in permanent contact with the skin. It's therefore a good idea to use an undershirt, which you can remove in milder weather. It's also important to open the vents before you get too hot, and close them before you get cold, when the intensity of the effort decreases, as on the ski lifts.

What should I wear under my ski jacket?

To stay warm and dry, apply the 3-layer rule:
ski underwear and an undershirt layer 2 to keep warm, a ski jacket layer 3 to protect against the elements.
Layer 1 keeps you dry by transferring perspiration from your skin to the other layers.
Layer 2 provides warmth. This is the case with down jackets and fleece pullovers.

The third layer

Layer 3 protects against the outside elements (snow, rain and wind) by keeping them out (while still allowing perspiration to escape, so you don't get "wet from the inside"). So, ideally, it's waterproof AND breathable. The third layer (or layer 3) can also help insulate lined pants or jackets, thus complementing the action of the second layer.

Fill power of down/feather filling

For this down comforter filled with 90% down and 10% feather, loft represents the thermal insulation capacity of down, by "trapping" a certain volume of air. So the more lofty the down, the more space it occupies and the more air it traps, so the more insulating it is.

How do I wash my feather down jacket?

Here are a few tips: close all the zips on your down jacket, then head for the washing machine on the 30° synthetic program.
To keep your down jacket puffy and warm, you can add 2 tennis balls to the machine.
Be careful to set the spin speed to gentle: spinning too hard can create feather balls that are difficult to remove.

How do I dry my down jacket?

When you take your down jacket out of the washing machine, you'll have the impression that the down has disappeared. Tumble-drying is the best way to plump up feathers. Put your down jacket in the dryer with 2 tennis balls for 2 - 3 drying cycles.
If you don't have a tumble dryer, you can dry your down jacket on a drying rack, turning it over and patting it regularly.
