Down jacket: 90% down and 10% feather for comfort and lightness.
We've added warmth zones where you need it most, and adapted them to the needs of freeriders.
Stretch zones in the back, sides and under the arms to free your movements.
This stretch is highly breathable and also acts as a perspiration wicker.
A hood that goes under the helmet and a high collar protect you in case of bad weather.
Directions for use
Dressing too warmly after heavy physical exertion can make you feel cold. Perspiration can't evacuate properly, so it remains in permanent contact with the skin. This is why it's a good idea to use an undershirt that can be removed in milder weather. It's also important to open the vents before you get too hot, and close them again before you get cold, when the intensity of the effort decreases, as on a ski lift.
What should I wear under my ski jacket?
To stay warm and dry, apply the 3-layer rule: 1 layer 2 to keep warm, 1 layer 3 to protect from the elements.
Layer 1: keeps you dry by transferring perspiration from your skin to the other layers.
Layer 2: provides warmth, as in a down jacket or fleece pullover.
Fill power of down/feather filling
For this down comforter filled with 90% down / 10% feathers,
The loft represents the thermal insulation capacity of down, by "trapping" a certain volume of air. So the more lofty the down (, the more space it occupies, the more air it traps, and therefore the more insulating it is.
What are the advantages of duck down and feather filling?
Down's capacity to fill and resist gives it 3 qualities for freeride skiing:
- Thermal insulation thanks to the air trapped in the down and feathers
- Lightness: for equal warmth, feathers are lighter than synthetic wadding. This saves even more weight in the backpack
- Compressibility
How do I wash my feather down jacket?
Here are a few tips: close all the zips on your down jacket, then head for the washing machine on the 30° synthetic program.
To keep the puffiness and warmth, it's even better to add 2 tennis balls to the machine
Be careful to set the spin speed to gentle: spinning too hard can create feather balls that are difficult to remove.

How do I dry my down jacket?
When you take your down jacket out of the washing machine, you'll have the impression that the down has disappeared. Tumble-drying is the best way to plump up feathers. Put your down jacket in the dryer with 2 tennis balls. You're ready for 2 - 3 drying cycles.
If you don't have a tumble dryer, you can dry your down jacket on a drying rack, turning it over and patting it regularly.
