Race underwear
The RACE winter road cycling undergarment has been designed to meet the demands of high-intensity winter cycling. The main feature of this undergarment is to limit perspiration and body heating. Micro-perforations have been placed on all heat zones to guarantee evacuation of perspiration in the form of water vapor, thus preventing the fabric from becoming saturated with perspiration.
Its polyamide composition also limits odors.
Directions for use
The advice on cold-weather clothing is the most complex, since it depends on each person's sensitivity to the cold.
Two pieces of advice are adaptable to everyone:
- don't multiply the layers, as this won't protect you any more and will be unpleasant to wear.
- on a road bike or mountain bike, you should always be a little cold at the start, but you'll warm up quickly during the first pedal strokes and feel more comfortable than if you were too warm.
The ideal combination
In most cases, an undergarment under a winter jacket is ideal. It will protect you from the cold during exercise, while guaranteeing good evacuation of perspiration.
A long-sleeved jersey can be added for the more chilly, but this will limit the evacuation of perspiration. Play with the thickness of your winter jacket, even if it means having two of them.
Essential, Training and Race ranges
You'll find 3 levels of range in our winter cycling underwear Van Rysel.
Essential: the warmest products, for low-intensity efforts that don't require increased perspiration management and temperature regulation.
Training: the perfect balance between warmth and perspiration management.
Race: the perfect balance between warmth and breathability. The idea is not to evacuate perspiration, but to limit it.
Product tests
Our team of product designers, based at BTWIN VILLAGE in LILLE, is constantly on the lookout for ways to improve our customers' cycling comfort. Our obsession is to develop products that meet usage needs and take the strain off the user.
We then test them in the field, because we're convinced that only by putting them into real-life situations, as you'll experience them on your bike, can we make constant progress.
