TIPS TO KEEP YOUR FEET WARM
Keeping your feet warm is all about blood circulation!
The main mistake is to overtighten your shoes: when blood circulation is poor, your feet are poorly irrigated and the feeling of cold increases. Winter socks that are too thick can also compress the foot in the shoe.
The cold often comes from fast-moving wind, so cover the tips of your feet with windproof toe-covers or windproof overshoes!
OVERSHOES OR TOE-COVERS?
The two products complement each other.
The toe cover allows more freedom, is much easier to put on and take off, but will show its limits below 8/9°C.
Its ease of use and compactness make it a perfect addition to any cyclist's outfit.
WATER ENTRY BY CAPILLARY ACTION
If your long shorts aren't water-repellent, they're likely to soak up water in the rain. Even the best overshoes in the world won't be able to do anything....your tights will be in contact with your socks, and the water will spread by capillary action.
That's why at VAN RYSEL we only offer winter bib shorts with a water-repellent membrane, like the RACER bib shorts.
