Product waterproofing :
This ICE overtrouser has been validated in a shower test under 100 liters of water / m² / hour for 3 hours. This test reproduces the conditions of a heavy mountain storm.
Waterproof fabric :
We measure a fabric's resistance to water pressure expressed in mm water column (test now based on JIS 1092 B). The higher the pressure, the more waterproof the fabric. A component with a waterproof rating of 20,000 mm will therefore withstand the pressure exerted by 20,000 mm of water (roughly equivalent to a 3-hour shower).
With a waterproof rating of over 20,000 mm, these pants offer a very high level of waterproofing.
Fabric breathability :
Maintenance of waterproof products
It is not advisable to wash waterproof products too frequently, as each wash reduces their properties.
- Before putting the jacket in the washing machine, close all zips, press studs, Velcro fasteners and pockets. Remember to loosen straps and elastic parts.
- Carefully follow the instructions on the jacket label (30°C)
- Use a liquid detergent for waterproof garments
- Do not use fabric softener
- Let the product air dry.
Reactivate the water repellency of waterproof products
Your jacket no longer water-repellent after several washes and uses.
You can reactivate the water-repellency with a liquid sold in machines
